The Story So Far perform to massive crowd of pop-punk fans in Seattle, WA
Swarms of pop-punk fans could be spotted in downtown Seattle on July 15th for A Day To Remember’s Least Anticipated Album Tour, featuring performances from supporting bands The Story So Far, Four Year Strong, and Scowl. The bands performed at the 7,200 capacity WAMU Theater, making this one of the largest venues these bands have performed at in the city.
First up to perform was California hardcore punk band Scowl, who managed to immediately intensify the energy in the room with their intense and energetic set. The half-decade-old band got the crowd moving early on in the night with their songs “Shot Down” and “Psychic Dance Routine.”
Four Year Strong was the next to take the stage; the seasoned rock band performed a set of eight songs spanning their 21-year-long music career while concertgoers became more animated. As the band performed their song “We All Float Down Here,” the crowd intensified with moshing and crowd surfing.
The last of the openers to perform were Bay Area pop-punk band The Story So Far, who have just released their fifth studio album, I Want To Disappear. The influential band started off their set with one of their newest singles “Big Blind,” then followed up with one of their most popular songs, “Roam,” from their debut album Under Soil and Dirt. Coincidentally, these two albums share a release date of June 21st - this latest album truly showcases the band’s musical growth over the past 13 years. As The Story So Far powered through their 14-song setlist, the crowd’s vitality managed to outshine the energy during previous performances, with many fans singing along to every word and crowd surfing to their favorite songs.
The sea of crowd surfing intensified as headliners A Day To Remember took the stage, opening with one of their heavier songs “Sticks & Bricks” and continuing into a set full of classic ADTR songs as well as some of their recent, well-received singles. A Day To Remember’s set was packed with incredible production, from pyro on stage throughout the set, to streamers and toilet paper flying around the room during “All Signs Point To Lauderdale,” while fans were seen crowd surfing on one another as the band performed their 2022 single “Mindreader.”
It was great to see The Story So Far back in action, and we are looking forward to seeing what they have coming up next during this album cycle. There are several shows left on the Least Anticipated Album Tour, which ends on July 28 in Nashville; tour dates and tickets can be found here.
