Something Corporate’s reunion tour comes to Seattle

Nearly 20 years after their last performance in Washington state, Something Corporate’s Out of Office Tour came to Redmond’s beautiful outdoor venue Marymoor Live - just 25 miles from Robert Lang Studios, where their sophomore album North was recorded. This was clearly a highly anticipated show from the packed crowd of Something Corporate fans, many of them bringing their families and watching from the grass. The Spill Canvas and Mae opened the show, bringing back memories of the early 2000s as fans along the barricade sang along.

The California pop-punk band’s set covered most of their discography, from fan favorites from their two studio albums like “Punk Rock Princess” and “Space” to their upcoming single “Happy,” (which was met with great reception from the crowd), as well as a young fan’s request, “Little.” The band were having a great time being back on stage together, as frontman Andrew McMahon mentioned multiple times between songs that they never expected to be able to tour together again, and hoped to be back again soon. The band finished the night off with an encore featuring “Konstantine” and “I Woke Up In A Car,” which had the entire pit jumping and singing along.

Something Corporate’s Out of Office Tour will resume in late August, and the band’s new single “Happy” releases this Friday. Tour dates and tickets can be found here.
