Offset Sets Philadelphia Ablaze

Words by Adrian Adams (@adrianpoitier)

When a supergroup disbands, fans scramble to find the breakout artist. Who will shine solo and craft music with lasting impact? Look no further than Offset, who delivered a show unlike any other in Philadelphia on his "Set It Off" tour.

Fresh off the critically acclaimed album of the same name, Offset, a founding member of Migos, stormed into Philly for the tour's first stop. Our media team received an all-access pass, following Offset's crew as they prepared for his solo debut.

Offset, long a standout in Migos, truly came into his own this past Sunday. Channeling Michael Jackson with his wardrobe, he electrified the crowd with fiery dance moves and undeniable stage presence. From soundcheck to the Meet & Greet, Offset exuded energy, personally handing out signed merch to his devoted fans.

The concert kicked off with a diverse opening act featuring Skilla Baby and Philly's own Kur and D.Sturdy. Then, it was Offset's time to shine. He took the stage with a live band, dancers, and his signature rhinestone socks, complete with the infamous glove. Hit after hit from his solo projects sent the venue into a frenzy.

Offset wasn't alone throughout the night. He welcomed artist Mango Foo to the stage, and for a surprise treat, brought out SleazyWorld Go and Philly's OT7 Quanny. Just when the guest appearances couldn't get any better, Rich The Kid emerged to perform the chart-topping "CARNIVAL," alongside "New Freezer" and "Plug Walk."

This ignited a wave of Migos throwbacks, leading Offset to pay a heartfelt tribute to his late bandmate, Takeoff. The show culminated with Offset performing in the middle of the floor, face-to-face with his fans. A true legend in the making, he closed the night with a heartfelt thanks to his day-one supporters.
