Fall Out Boy puts on explosive show in Seattle, WA

Legendary emo rock band, Fall Out Boy came back to save rock and roll in Seattle this winter with their second North American tour in the past year. The So Much For (2our) Dust recently kicked off in the Pacific Northwest with a multi-talented lineup of alternative rock artists opening for them including Jimmy Eat World, The Maine, and Daisy Grenade. The captivating show took place at Climate Pledge Arena which was packed with thousands of emo music loving concert goers eager to see the bands perform.

The show’s intensity ramped up as the 22 year old band took the stage shortly after 9pm and started off the show with the lead single “Love From The Other Side”  from their 8th studio album So Much (for) Stardust which was released on March 24th, 2023 via Fueled by Ramen. The beloved Illinois band performed an extensive setlist of 27 songs spanning through their career and including a handful of fan favorites like “Sugar, We’re Goin Down” and “My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark” to name a few. For the surprise song of the night better known to Fall Out Boy fans as the 8 ball song the band performed “Sophomore Slump or Comeback of The Year” and unexpectedly performed a snippet of “Black Hole Sun” by Seattle’s rock band Soundgarden. Fall Out Boy’s stage production on the So Much For (2our) Dust tour was ever changing and truly kept people on the edge of their seats with a constant stream of exhilarating production tricks ranging from bubbles, loud fireworks, and a crowd favorite; Pete Wentz’s specially crafted basses including a flamer thrower bass & snow globe bass. As someone who has personally seen the band perform three separate times at different points of their career this was one of the most entertaining shows of theirs that I’ve attended and would recommend fans of rock music to make it out to this tour if it’s coming near them. Side note, there are A LOT of fireworks and flash pots that are extremely loud so don’t forget your earplugs!
