Between The Buried And Me & The Acacia Strain bring two nights of metal to Detroit
North Carolina metal band Between the Buried and Me are performing two nights at each stop, covering the entirety of Colors the first night and Colors II on the second. They had support from The Acacia Strain who are performing the entirety of Step into the Light on one night and Failure Will Follow the second night. We happened to catch the tour on night two in Detroit, and can only assume the first night was just as wild!
The Acacia Strain opened up on the second night with a killer performance of “Pillar of Salt” which got the crowd moving. By the end of their set during “The Hills Have Eyes,” the entire crowd was moving and The Acacia Strain decided it was time to cool off and sprayed a few water bottles at the crowd.
Catching the tour on the second night had Between the Buried and Me leading with “Monochrome” from Colors II. Thanks to The Acacia Strain, the pit didn’t close even through intermission, which led to a mosh pit not two minutes in. Playing the entity of Colors II, the crowd never stopped moving the whole time. Being on the second floor of the venue it’s safe to say I could feel the floor moving. Closing out with “Human is Hell,” everyone in the crowd can agree that Between the Buried and Me put on one amazing performance.
