Heaven Let Detroit Die: Counterparts’ 2025 headlining tour ends in Michigan

Counterparts’ Heaven Let Them Die tour has come to end with its final stop at Detroit’s St. Andrew’s Hall; the lineup consisted only of heavy-hitters, making it an easy decision to attend. First up was Foreign Hands who really set the tone for the night, coming out with a solid 9-song set. Their high energy, fast paced stage presence was felt through the crowd. Malevolence kicked things off with their 2022 album’s title track, "Malicious Intent," before seamlessly transitioning into the second song, "Life Sentence." The crowd couldn't have asked for a better way to come out on stage. Next up, Pain of Truth came out and delivered, not only matching the energy from the previous bands but quite possibly turning it up evening more. With 12 songs to play they didn't slow down in the slightest, delivering a constant flow of heavy songs which attracted crowd surfers and even stage divers. Eventually joining the crowd, vocalist Michael Smith was also crowd surfing at one point.

Counterparts brought their tour to a close with a strong 19-song set, highlighting all six tracks from their latest EP, Heaven Let Them Die. This final show was charged with energy, as relentless crowd surfing and the intensity of the metalcore band’s performance created an unforgettable evening. The stage design further amplified the atmosphere, featuring the album art as a backdrop and backlit stained-glass windows that evoked a cathedral-like feel. This performance was a fitting end to the tour, showcasing Counterparts' raw emotion and the deep connection they share with their fans.
