Introspective by America's Pastime

Favorite Track: Doubt

Americas Pastime is an acoustic act from San Antonio, Texas. His sophomore EP, titled Introspective, came out on March 4th, 2017. One thing I noticed from this EP right off the bat is that there is definitely a lot of emotion through all parts of it, whether it be through the lyrics or through the passionate performances in all three of these tracks.

Indifference is a pretty good opener, but I don't have too much to say about it, to be honest. Fear is probably the most emotional and relatable song on the record. Doubt adds piano and electric guitar to the acoustic guitar and softer musical elements that were shown in the past two tracks. This song seems to be more positive and is trying to say “I’m here for you, you’ll make it through,” or something along those lines. The ending is probably my favorite part of the track in general and it closes out the EP strongly.

I really enjoy this EP and it’s something I keep coming back to for repeated listens.
