AMITY: How are you?
Grace: I'm great, thank you.
AMITY: You have quite a lot of body modifications, were you always into them?
Grace: My mum was always heavily inspired in her art work by tribal culture from around the globe and I would sit in her workshop as a kid and flick through books on body painting and different types of body modification from tribal culture so I guess that's where it all sparked off for me.
AMITY: You do hand-poking tattoos, what made you choose that instead of the machine based tattoo work?
Grace: I just fell into it I guess and I never had the desire to move onto machine tattooing. I just loved hand poke and that's what I wanted to stick with.
AMITY: Who would you say inspires you?
Grace: So many people, all my friends inspire me on a daily, my mum, people I pass in the street - it's like a constant flow of inspiration an it not even just people its the world!
AMITY: You've obtained quite a following on social media. Is it weird when people say they look up to you?
Grace: I guess it is still weird but I hope I put forward a good message, I try not to think about that who side of it I just concentrate on spreading the love as much as I can.
AMITY: With so much negativity throughout the Internet, how do you maintain such a positive outlook?
Grace: I guess over the years because of the way I look and also just the shit that life throws at you. Sometimes I managed to create a pretty thick bullshit filter pretty quickly. Random peoples hate doesn't hurt me because I know its a projection of their own insecurities because they don't know me so I would never let a strangers negative energy get through my barrier.
AMITY: You opened an etsy shop a while back, how is business going?
Grace: Fantastic! Thank you for asking!
AMITY: Was there a point in your life where you knew you were different from everyone else?
Grace: Yeah; when I was about 10 and then so many different things that I started to get into and be drawn too from then on would make me "different from the norm."
AMITY: Any plans for the upcoming months?
Grace: Just work, spread love, and have a bloody holiday!
AMITY: Final words?
Grace: Don't forget you are the master of your own destiny, its cheesy as fuck but there is a reason so many have been saying it for so long.
