The Made To Destroy Tour with Pierce The Veil, Neck Deep, and I Prevail
Friday night fans made their way to the Tabernacle in the heart of downtown Atlanta to see some of the music industry's best bands. Pierce The Veil are one the second half of their headlining Made To Destroy Tour with support from pop punk rockers Neck Deep and post-hardcore band I Prevail and these boys know how to rock.
The first act of the night, I Prevail, takes the stage and immediately commands the attention of everyone in the room. With every moment that passes, the band gains momentum and the crowd reciprocates that energy tenfold. The rumbling growls and powerful clean vocals roar through the room as fans jam along to both the band’s original music and their cover of Taylor Swift’s “Blank Space”.
The set is over all too soon as Neck Deep, a UK-based pop punk band takes the reins. The crowd goes nuts, and crowd surfers head to the front from all angles, trying to get a little closer to the action. Their dedication is matched with an awesome set, with the band taking time to slow it down for “A Part of Me” and “December” sandwiched between upbeat songs.
A short half hour after the end of Neck Deep’s set, Pierce the Veil take the stage. The crowd illuminates as the band powers through “Dive In”. Confetti bursts and floats through the room, creating the atmosphere that can only be described as a Pierce the Veil show. They follow up such a strong energy with their ever-popular “Caraphernelia” to keep the crowd on their toes and screaming their lungs out. The set is a hearty mix of both new and old songs. To take it slow for a bit, the band sits down to play “Kissing in Cars” from their first album A Flair for the Dramatic. They pick up the pace without missing a beat, though, and head straight in to “Hell Above”.
The night is consistently energetic, with fans overflowing with excitement and Pierce the Veil doing the same. Pierce the Veil makes sure to give fans an upbeat, confetti-filled release from their everyday lives, and are for sure not a show to miss.
