Blink-182 with A Day To Remember and All American Rejects

Tuesday night thousands fled to Ridgefield, WA to fulfill their teenage dreams and see one of the most iconic pop punk bands, Blink-182 perform. With support from A Day To Remember and All American Rejects, the show was definitely a night to remember!

While fans entered the amphitheater and found their seats DJ Spider got the crowd warmed up with songs from the audiences high school days as well as recent music.

The first band to perform was All American Rejects who threw it back with one of their hit songs Dirty Little Secret. Throughout their set they played a some more of their older songs such as "Move Along" and "Gives You Hell" which had everyone in the amphitheater singing along. But the band had a few tricks up their sleeve and played an unreleased song called "DGAF". Their surely a band for all generations to groove on.

Up next was Florida rockers A Day To Remember, a band well known for their unusual amalgamation of pop punk and metalcore songs. They started off their set with one of their most energy filled songs - "The Downfall of Us All"  had everyone out of their seats and jumping along while beach balls floated throughout the crowd and back on stage. Their set was energy filled the entire hour long set they played, they kept a party like atmosphere with stage props like the beach balls and later on with toilet paper being thrown everywhere! Before playing a song of their latest album Bad Vibrations vocalist Jeremey McKinnon went on to talk about how he usually asks for the largest circle pit but since the venue was 90% Seats he asked everyone to swing something in the air instead which resulted in everyone swing toilet paper in the air. They slowed it down towards the end of the show except for acoustic song "If It Means a Lot to You" which had the whole venue lit up with cell phones and lighters.

It was finally time for Blink-182 to come on stage and they started of the night with a boom - literally! One might say the production on this tour was "fire" which means incredible to the younger generations...  but ironically enough their stage was actually on fire, four letters that spelt out fuck burned away on a backdrop behind the band during Feeling This.

"It was 2016 and Blink-182 played right outside of Portland and I was there to see it!" said Mark Hoppus, frontman of Blink-182 while joking about how fans will talk about this show to their grandchildren one day. Throughout the night they had all the fans quite literally wondering what there age was again while playing songs like "Whats My Age Again", "I Miss You", and "All the Small Things" which are bound to make any of the older fans in the crowd remember their high school years. The show was amazing if you acknowledge the fact that their older songs won't sound like the original versions with Matt Skiba doing Tom Delonge's vocals on the older songs. Unfortunately, I wasn't a fan of Skiba doing vocals on the old songs, it personally just doesn't fit right to me but I really enjoyed Matt Skiba's vocals on songs off their latest release California which Skiba was apart of such as "Los Angeles" and "Bored To Death". The band also had a few friends come out to party with them. Sex Dolls came out during Dumpweed and producer John Feldmann joined the band during Brohemian Rhapsody. Much like ADTR, the band asked for crowd for participation and to have everyone turn their cell phone lights on which once again had the place lit up. The band ended with a four song encore which ended with confetti during last song, Dammit.

If any of these bands come near you, I highly suggest going to see them. You won't regret it.
