Don Broco's First Headlining Show in Atlanta
Don Broco is an UK based rock band from Bedford, England. They’ve done there fair share of tours in the US including a spot on the last full cross country run of the Vans Warped Tour back in 2018 and more recently opening up for Mike Shinoda. But the boys made their way back to Atlanta, there quote “home away from home”, on their first US headlining tour with support from Trash Boat, Sleep On It, and Selfish Things.
Don Broco opened with Pretty off of their album Technology. The crowd instantly went crazy with circle pits and crowd surfers along with everyone jumping to the beat. They continued on with their set with songs like Stay Ignorant, Technology, Money Power Fame, The Blues, Half Man Half God, and Superlove.
Midway through their set Rob began talking about how Atlanta was like their second home and how they’ve spent a lot of time getting to know the city and their fans there. He told the crowd how they were filming a video and continued to tell how they had a very special guest coming out to join them - Atlanta’s hometown boy Tyler Carter from Issues. The crowd went crazy as soon as Tyler hit the stage and the band began their new song ACTION, which features Tyler Carter and few other familiar names. The crowd sang at the top of their lungs while others started mosh pits and jumped around. They continued on with You Wanna Know before they brought out some dancers for Greatness.
The boys ended their set with a crowd favorite, Everybody. The Cowboy from the video came out and brought some sick guitar shreds before Rob made his way onto the barricade and sang with some fans. The band gave their all before making their way off the stage. They came back out for the encore that included Come Out to LA and T-Shirt Song, some personal favorites of mine before bidding Atlanta goodnight and promising to be back soon.
Needless the say that Don Broco are on their way to being on the biggest bands in the world, and rightfully so. They bring enough energy for any size venue and have some great songs that will be stuck in your head for days. If you haven’t checked them out yet take it from me, you won’t regret it.
