Bring Me The Horizon Bring The Threesome Tour to Seattle

Well known British rock band Bring Me The Horizon have made their way back to North America for the third time since their release of their sixth studio album, Amo. The tour is called the Threesome Tour and Sleeping With Sirens and Poppy have joined the band as supporting performers.

First to perform was popular YouTuber Moriah Rose Pereira better known as Poppy. Poppy has gained popularity on YouTube with her unique robot like personality and has been a topic of discussion on other Youtuber’s channels such as Pewdiepie and Leafyishere. Poppy was also featured on four of The Fine Bro’s React YouTube channel with videos such as  “Kids React to Poppy” , “Poppy Reacts to Kids React to Poppy” , Kids React To “Poppy Reacts to Kids React to Poppy” and “Kids React Cast meet Poppy For The First Time”. If you ever see one Poppy’s concerts you’ll quickly realize she is much more than a YouTuber. On top of being an actress and fashion model she is a singer-songwriter who has been releasing metal oriented songs following the release of her second E.P Choke which inevitably landed her a spot on tour with two genre defying bands.

The next band to perform was Sleeping With Sirens, a band that has been around since 2009 and shortly gained a lot of popularity with their first two albums, “With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear” and “Lets Cheer to This.” The band are known for combination of the band’s heavy music and vocalist Kellin Quinn’s leggero tenor vocal range. In the past decade the band has evolved their sound, releasing a handful of acoustic songs, and a few albums that have more of an alternative/pop rock sound which is most noticeable on their 2017 album Gossip. This year the band went back to their heavy roots with the release of their sixth studio album “How It Feels to Be Lost” which left many fans at the show eager to hear the new songs live. The crowd’s response to the new music seemed very positive throughout their entire set with fans singing along to the new songs and a never ending mosh pit.

Not before long, Bring Me The Horizon took the stage with some of the biggest production I’ve ever seen them have in the United States. The stage was filled with a ton of small LED screens that served as a backdrop that created a secondary level to the stage with an enormous screen that spanned the entire width of the riser. The band also brought along backup dancers that were dressed in masks. The band started off the night with lead single Mantra off their latest release AMO which set the bar high for the rest of the night. As always, there were mosh pits throughout the entire night. The band performed a 90 minute set that consisted of 15 songs which catered to fans who enjoy their later music from albums such as Sempiternal, That’s The Spirit, and AMO. Six of the songs performed were from AMO which was released at the beginning of this year on January 25th, 2019. One of the song’s that was really interesting to see performed live was Nihilist Blues a song that feature’s Grimes and gives off major emo clubbing music vibes. Another crowd favorite from the new album was Sugar, Honey, Ice & Tea. If I had one word to describe this album, it would be experimental as every track on the album has its own unique sound.

The band had always been great at involving their crowds by encouraging mosh pits and multiple walls of death, something that always looks insane but it wouldn’t be a BMTH show without them. The concert was equally as unique as the new album with the band doing new things I had never seen them do before such as bringing fans onto the stage to do guest vocals during Antivist. Towards the end of the set they had the crowd squat down and jump when the drop came in - it’s really something you have to see live to understand how epic it is!

Vocalist Oliver Sykes ran all over the venue for the entirety of their song Drown letting fans sing into the microphone and even going to the back of the venue to hug fans that were sitting in the seats. This tour is definitely a show you’ll want to go to if you’re a fan of any of Bring Me The Horizon’s newer music. Check out the bands website to see if they’re touring anywhere near you and if not keep an eye out because the band hinted that they would be back next year.
