Feast Your Ears: Four Year Strong Serves Up a Punk Buffet

There’s nothing quite like a pop-punk show to whet your appetite for Thanksgiving - and Four Year Strong made sure their analysis paralysis tour was a feast to remember, bringing a crazy amount of energy to the stage blending pop-punk, hardcore, and nostalgia into one amazing night.

Kicking off the night was a carefully curated trio of openers: Death Lens, One Step Closer, and Free Throw. Each brought a distinct flavor to the table, offering a spread of emo, hardcore, and punk that catered to both scene veterans and younger fans just discovering the genre.

Four Year Strong’s setlist spanned their entire discography, blending old favorites with fresh tracks from analysis paralysis. The newer material hit just as hard as their early work, but it was clear the band hasn’t lost touch with their roots. Midway through the set they handed the reigns over to the audience to pick between two songs, who enthusiastically chose the fan-favorite “Bada Bing! Wit’ a Pipe!” The nostalgia hit me like a well-timed drum fill, bringing me back to the MySpace days.

Four Year Strong’s live performance is a testament to their staying power in a genre often ruled by fleeting trends. Their blend of raw guitars, relentless energy, and perfect harmonized vocals was a reminder that pop-punk isn't just alive, its thriving.
