Dance Gavin Dance's "Artificial Selection Tour" in Seattle, WA

We recently caught Californian rock band, Dance Gavin Dance (DGD) towards the end of their headlining North American tour. Enthusiastic fans packed the Seattle venue, Showbox Sodo to catch the stacked tour lineup which consisted of four more rock bands, Don Broco, Hail The Sun, Covet, and Thousand Below. With Dance Gavin Dance’s dedicated fan base and an awesome tour lineup like this it was no surprise that the show had to be upgraded to the 1,800 capacity venue due to high demand.

Dance Gavin Dance have experienced multiple lineup changes since the band formed in 2005 but that hasn’t stopped their dedicated fans from supporting them throughout all these years. The band’s current lineup consists of Jon Mess (heavy vocalist), Matt Mingus (drums) Will Swan (Lead Guitar, Keyboard), Tim Feerick (Bass), and Tilian Pearson (vocalist) and we couldn’t picture this bands lineup being any better than it currently is, everyone in the band offer their unique twists to the band. One of the many reason their fans have stuck around this long is because of the band’s live performance being equally as good, if not better than the studio version. On this tour the band performed a variety of old and new songs, 5 of the songs being from their 8th studio album Artificial Selection which came out last year and 1 song “Head Hunter” that will presumably be on their 9th studio album which Tilian Pearson is said to be expected in 2020. The fans seemed to be having a blast the entire night singing along to every song and crowd surfing and moshing to their favorite songs. Keep up to date with band here to see if they’ll be performing near you or releasing any new music.
