Bayside Rock Seattle with High-Energy Show at Showbox SoDo
New York punk rock stalwarts Bayside returned to Seattle with a bang, playing a rousing set at Showbox SoDo. The band is currently on a U.S. headlining tour promoting their latest album, There Are Worse Things Than Being Alive. The tour, featuring an impressive lineup with support from Finch, Armor for Sleep, and Winona Fighter, runs from April 3rd to May 5th, concluding in Boston.
Opening the night was the energetic young punk band Winona Fighter, setting a high bar with their dynamic performance. They were followed by Armor for Sleep and Finch, whose sets maintained an electrifying, non-stop vibe that primed the crowd perfectly for the headliner.
Bayside kicked off their set with “Pigsty” and delivered a hit-laden performance spanning their entire discography. The setlist was a fan’s dream, featuring beloved tracks like “Montauk,” “Don’t Call Me Peanut,” and “Sick, Sick, Sick,” showcasing the band’s enduring appeal and musical evolution. The energy was infectious with fans singing along to songs, creating a lively energetic atmosphere of hand claps and crowd surfing that enhanced the band’s performance. For the the final track of the night, Bayside delivered a memorable performance of “Devotion and Desire,” with the entire room joining in to sing along, making it a truly special moment shared between the band and their dedicated fans.
