The Used headline sold out show at Seattle’s Showbox SoDo

The Used stopped in Seattle last weekend near the end of their tour with openers Sleeping With Sirens, Dead American, and Blindlove. The influential emo band are touring in support of their latest album Toxic Positivity which released earlier this year; in addition to a few new songs from the album and their earlier 2023 singles, The Used performed many fan favorites from their first four albums, including “The Taste of Ink,” “The Bird and the Worm,” and “I Caught Fire.”
Seattle’s date had an extremely energetic crowd, encouraged by the band’s stage presence and production (featuring elaborate stage decoration and confetti during several songs). The crowd was having a great time with their performance, chanting along with vocalist Bert McCracken (and booing, at Bert’s request).
As a fitting end to the Seattle show, The Used concluded their set with “A Box Full of Sharp Objects” featuring Kellin Quinn, and an outro of Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” with confetti falling on the crowd.
