Lil Baby brings exhilarating "It's Only Us" tour to Philadelphia
Halfway through their successful 24 city tour “It’s Only Us,” Lil Baby and Friends found themselves in the heart of Philadelphia Tuesday night.
Top Celebrity publicist and Brand Strategist, Abesi Manyando gave us access to Lil Baby’s show. Just a few months earlier, we captured Grammy winning entertainer, Future and his successful “Future and Friends” show upon the invitation of Abesi’s Atlanta-based global PR firm, Abesi PR.
Both “Future and Friends” and Lil Baby’s IOU tour were promoted by AG Entertainment. AG is also responsible for shows such as Money Bagg Yo’s Larger Than Life Tour, Lil Durk, Gunna, Gucci Mane, and many more. Holding 25+ years of entertainment under their belt, AG Entertainment has been creating monumental and unforgettable experiences through high- level concerts and tours.
The IOU tour was a highly anticipated show in Philly. Lil Baby was accompanied by GloRilla, Rylo Rodriguez, Gloss Up and popular newcomer, Hunxcho.
Lil Baby commanded the energy of the crowd at Wells Fargo Center with loud bass, bringing everyone’s attention to the front stage as a reel of the rapper displayed on the screen. In a sudden flash, dancers began to take over the stage as Lil Baby slowly descended mid-air, draped in a stone-clad vest. Fans craned their necks and erupted in screams as phones lit up the aerial view, capturing the artist in his element.
The Atlanta legend made use of the large arena with constant changes to the stage setup and mesmerizing light show, keeping concert goers on their toes and guessing where he would appear next. Throughout the night, Lil Baby would transition from a conveyor belt-style stage where he would simulate walking in place, to being suspended on a bridge mid-air accompanied by his dancers over the crowd. Fans were then welcomed with a more intimate portion of the show where the stage was brought to the middle of the crowd, as the Atlanta MC delivered more chart-topping tracks as the arena roared in unison.
As the night progressed throughout the chapters of Lil Baby’s performance, Philadelphia fans were quickly brought to another peak of the night when Philadelphia native and legend Meek Mill joined the Atlanta rapper. Energy was at a ten with Lil Baby supporting Meek Mill during Philadelphia’s unofficial anthem “Dreams and Nightmares”. The artists exchanged a handshake as the lights went low for Lil Baby’s final chapter that transitioned into a balanced mix of slower and faster paced hits.
The MC ended the night with his most notable track “Freestyle,” that has garnered over half a billion streams, as fans screamed the lyrics word for word. Lil Baby gave his loyal fans his final appreciation, shouting “until next time!” as he slowly descended below the stage and smoke filled the air. With his tour halfway through, Lil Baby proves he has yet to slow down and is ready to usher in even more momentum throughout his remaining cities.
