Jesse McCartney's Resolution Tour comes to an end in Seattle, WA.

Showbox Sodo - Seattle, WA

If you were born in the 90’s the name Jesse McCartney probably rings a bell. The 31 year old singer, songwriter, and actor was a teen heart throb in the Early 2000’s and unlike most former teenage heartthrobs is still making music and performing concerts to his dedicated fan base who have stuck around!

We recently caught the singer’s last show of his sold out Resolution Tour in Seattle, WA. Last month we saw over a thousand eager fans lined up for the show despite the fact that the city had just experienced a rare winter storm just days prior that left the city and surrounding areas with over a foot of snow. It was clear to me that his dedicated fans had come out to have a nostalgic night out with their friends and he gave the fans exactly what they wanted and more!

Jesse McCartney started the night off with two nostalgic singles, “How Do You Sleep” and “Leavin’”, which were both released on his third studio album, Departure, which came out a decade ago! The energy in the room quickly escalated during these songs and continued through out the night especially when he would interact with fans, occasionally flashing poses at them and even bringing up a fan on stage and serenading her. At one point during the show McCartney took a moment to ask fans what their resolutions were before sharing that his resolution for the year is to finally release his sixth studio album. The crowd’s energy was even high when the singer performed unreleased music such as “Selfless”, “Soul”, and “What Happens Next”.

The night ended with everyone's favorite Jesse McCartney song, Beautiful Soul which had everyone in the venue singing at the top of their lungs. Overall, I thought the show was a great experience for his fans, but as someone who has been to a bunch of show’s at this venue something just felt off, and I think it’s because I was expecting it to feel more intimate but in reality the show felt very choreographed, something I personally don’t think works well at venues of this size. In spite of that, we are looking forward to hearing his forthcoming album in the near future!
