Beartooth Reopens Doors at Popular Seattle Music Venue.
Beartooth - August 20th, 2021- Showbox Sodo -Seattle, WA
Ohio rock band, Beartooth recently made their way through Seattle, WA on their headlining tour The Below Tour. Opening for Beartooth on this U.S tour are two other heavy rock bands, Wage War and Dragged Under. A member of Dragged Under unfortunately came down with Covid-19 right before the show in Seattle and the band is quarantining for at least 10 days until everyone is healthy and covid free. This was the first show at Showbox Sodo since Covid-19 brought the touring music industry to a hault in March 2020 and in an effort to keep things open the venue is currently requiring proof of vaccination or negative Covid-19 tests and while the show was low on tickets
For a lot of fans attending this concert, this was their first concert in over 17 months and you could feel the excitement in the air. As Beartooth walked out on stage it was noticeable that the packed venue was exceptionally louder than when we last covered the band at this venue in January of 2020 and the production of the show was upgraded as well with a huge LED screen lit up behind the band to show visuals during every song. The band is currently on tour for their fourth studio tour titled Below that was released on June 25th, 2021. The band performed handful of head banging anthems including 8 songs off of the new album and 17 songs in total which provided a well rounded setlist for both newer and older fans. The performance the band put on during these songs were spectacular and had the fans rowdier then ever before. Even during some of their slower songs fans could still be seen moshing and crowd surfing. I’m pretty sure there was even a mosh pit going on while the band and crowd sang happy birthday to the band’s dummer Conner Dennis.
This show will definitely be a concert I will remember for the rest of my life, and I think anyone else who attended would say the same. Concerts right now are really an interesting sight to while you wait in line you’ll see you see people shoving nasal swabs up their nose and when you’re and you’ll see fans going harder than they ever have before because we’re all afraid they’ll start shutting down again. You can catch Beartooth on tour in the US until September 25th and they’ll be heading to Europe in 2022!
